I have just been watching a fantastic video on TEDtalks by Daphne Koller about ‘What we’re learning from online education’. Daphne Koller is enticing top universities to put their most intriguing courses online for free — not just as a service, but as a way to research how people learn. Great to know that it can be done effectively and that there are organisations that are offering so much for free.
TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world’s leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes (or less). TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, and TEDTalks cover these topics as well as science, business, global issues, the arts and more.
Hope it has given you something to think about. It has enforced my belief that online education can certainly be effective and a benchmark to aim for.
Leave me a comment and let me know if you think this is possible for all areas of education and training. I would love to hear your thoughts.
