This week we looked at a variety of social bookmarking sites. I have been introduced to quite a few sites I had not heard of before and spent some hours ‘playing’ on some as they are very addictive. I will be presenting them in coming posts. The below link takes you to an article on one persons take of the top 15 sites. I have explored a few of these.

Pearltrees is a fun little site where you can ‘culitvate’ your interest. It is a visual and collaborative curation tool that allows you to collect, organize and share any URL you find online as well as upload personal photos and notes. You can drag and organize collected URLs into units called pearls which can be further organize in a hierarchical  pearltrees, It also has a great little add on ‘pearler’ that sits in your toolbar. When ever you are on a site that you want to add to your pearltrees you simply click the pearler and it adds the site to your pearltree.

Below is an image to give you an idea of what a pearltree looks like.
